Our Purpose

At Grow Church, we desire to Grow in God. This is summarised in the phrase “Be Everything God Made You to Be.” We see this being fulfilled by growing in MATURITY and fulfilling our God given PURPOSE.

“From Him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.” Ephesians 4:16

Growing in God to Be Everything God Made You to Be is nurtured and expressed in community. God has designed us for relationship with Him and with one another through Christ. He has placed us in His body, the church, so that we might Grow. We Grow together. As we each rise to fulfil our individual purpose we collectively fulfil our purpose corporately as a church family.

These four elements (G.R.O.W.) are also the Process by which we Grow to maturity and fulfil our purpose in God as we step through each one.

We are mindful that we are all on a journey, a work in progress, and that we will continue to grow in each of these areas for our whole life.

“Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.” (Philippians 3:12)

Each step in the process aligns to a program or activity to help us progress along.

Church Services help us to grow in our knowledge and relationship with God.

Grow Groups help us build deeper relationships with others and grow together in the Word and Prayer.

Our Heart-to-Heart lists of unsaved family, friends and colleagues help stir us to pray and seek opportunities to witness so that we might see them come to Christ.

Being involved in Serving or Leading gives opportunity to express the gifts given to us by the Lord, as every believer is called to minister.
